HOPE for the holidays
Because of you, we were able to bring Christmas joy to those most vulnerable in our community, including those living on the streets and in shelters, those displaced by natural disasters, those recently housed, and veterans experiencing homelessness.Thanks to our supporters, we were able to give toys, clothing, and gift cards to the children and teenagers we serve. Additionally, our staff and volunteers worked ’round the clock to assemble “welcome home baskets,” filled with household supplies for those making the transition into permanent housing.
To help make the season special, we hosted holiday parties for our clients in Kona and Hilo. Our East Hawai’i party included a Polar Express theme, live music, keiki activities, and a photo booth.
Some clients told us they haven’t had a professional picture taken in years, and were so grateful for the opportunity to share a new photo with their loved ones. A big mahalo to K-Big FM, The Beat FM, Hawai’i Classic Cruizers, Kama’aina Motors, TJ Maxx, Blue Zones Hawaii, Hilo Bay Rotary Club, Hanes, Bernard Deguair & friends, Lions Club, Dream Hawaii Studies, Pomai & Loeka, Lloyd Longakit, The Kipapa Sisters, Big Island Sound, AJ & Sons Catering, Scientel Solutions, JEI Angel Studios, Glow Hawai’i House of Cheer, and the many people who made donations or volunteered to wrap gifts.
We have been continuously inspired by the spirit of generosity exhibited by our partners, volunteers, donors, and colleagues. Thank you for helping make Christmas brighter for those we serve.
